Well done Ruth and Jim on your marathon efforts over the weekend. We have added your times to the club championship marathon section but noticed you also did better times in the Portland marathon in January. Have you done any other marathons with better times since Portland? Please email us to confirm either way. Many thanks.

Well I would advise him to have a large drink. It will dull the pain from the attack of a herd of Weston yaks. I understand that yaks possess "quite astonishing strength"! :)
Wednesday 05 November 2008
Have you been drinking Rich??
Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself, No problems with the altitude then ? Amazing views of Everest ? Must be comforting to see those Yaks, striking resemblence to the Weston ac women - Do they also move around in herds ?
Excellent Roger, glad the knee is holding out.
Great to hear all's going well Roger, and that the body & soul are still holding together!!

Dear Hill-dodger, I feel you should be safe to venture down to the club on Thursday as it surely can't be hills two weeks running (no pun intended)!
Does anyone know which circuit is planned for this Thursday night?
Just to point out. I thought Victor was in a particularly good & jolly mood yesterday. And was amiable company throughout. Mind you he did seem relieved on the non appearance of any randy bull mastiffs out on Exmoor!
Victor, prizeless & miserable, maybe you should run as Victoria?
Sunday 26 October 2008

Tuesday 21 October 2008
Mes Amis ,i have alarming news to report. Following further undercover work i have found out side effects
one can experience from this immersion treatment. A nasty viral infection called Red eye ( train tunnel syndrome ). Early warning signals are a bloodshot eye , if untreated this infection can lead to Premature Baldness, impotentcy and Dementia.
Apparently athletic types are not so susceptible but unathletic types are prone. Please if anyone knows anybody
who could be at risk stop them now .
Don't Die of Ignorance...
Sean - you want to get some cream for that rash. You ought to have words with Malcolm - he has a tendancy to pop into Boots and ask the ladies behind the counter to have a look at his rash (nettle stings indeed!?!?)
Things are looking good - aiming for first WAC women home on the Stagger!!!
Monday 20 October 2008
Clearly I am the invisible man, must be the efforts on Tuesday night. I did run the Dartmoor Vale this weekend, finished with Mike and Yosser in 4.29.56. Tough course, good team work.......or maybe it was a dream and I just picked up a rather nasty rash from somewhere I cannot remember. Hopefully I do not need to run up those hills again!!!!!!
OMG, Matt, tell me you didn't really see THAT photo on my phone...... did you??
So...what time is the party on Wednesday??
Warning!! For those unable to view Facebook.
Do you know this man? He was last seen behaving suspiciously on the Weston sea front area last Thursday night. If you do know or see this man, do NOT approach him. Children will be left mentally disfigured if allowed to view this picture. You have been warned!
[
Sinister Photo ]
One result you all missed,Madeline Cook 229 position 2hr 09min 04sec Dartmoor Vale Half Marathon
I would also like to point out that I am unable to check the suitability of facebook images from work, however if it is anything like that image (which I spent many a day in counselling), which included Ginny, a beach... (I will stop here).
Then, I must advise anyone that is not blind, please.... don't look...
It's for your own safety. and also, the therapy is expensive.
I would like to reassure anyone with small children that the creature in Ginnie's photo has been captured and cured of the horrible affliction on it's head!
FYI: Cockney Sparrow - Just to let you know that when you post web links/addresses on the message board it will now need to be approved before it is displayed so that you don't get any wonderful porn being displayed. This is why the message does not get displayed as soon as you click on the "submit" button.
But, thanks for the 50(ish) posts ;)
Ahhhh, tis true, the Sparrow will be splashing aroung in the tub on Wednesday, prior to taking up running again on Thursday.... bring it on!!PS if you'd like to see my work of art, follow this link:

Congratulations Ralph to you and your excellent pacer Rob. Also congratulations to Phil Tomlinson 3.58.27 and Ian Hughes (yosser) 4.29.36
at Dartmoor Vale. Also worthy of mention Former member Simon Lund finished 8th in 3.09.12 . I am off for total immersion treatment with Whitey and a big bag of chips...
Yes, Miss Claudine likes to be totally immersed, indeed, there are times when she needs a snorkel to aid breathing. When not totally immersed, she tends to need a booster seat for comfort
To Hercule - I have tried the total immersion technique in Kewstoke and it doesn't seeim to work for me, but maybe that's because I'm eating chips at the same time?!
Gerry H. Thanks for checking out Abingdon results. Also all the good luck that club members passed onto me & Rob Skeen.
Sunday 19 October 2008
Well done to Rowena Ham 970th in 1:39:58 at Cardiff half today.
Also big well done to Colin Lee 27th in 3:29:23, Tim Pollard 50th in 3:50:53 and Mike Potter at the Dartmoor Vale Marathon today
Just found results, well done to Ralph on finishing his first marathon in 3.30.40 and also big well done to Rob who finished in 3.44.12.
Anyone know how Rob & Ralph got on today?
P.S. Thanks for all the times I've been emailed.
Results won't be available for a day or so. Have spent many hours of my weekend trying to sort them out and I need a break from it now.
Back to it tomorrow.
think i was about 33.55 liz-if that helps.
Saturday 18 October 2008
Can Sean McHenry and Gareth Weaver please conatct Malcolm Gammon about running the christmas crcker please ASAP
Notice for all Weston Runners who ran the October Prom:
Please can any of you who noted your time please let me have it ASAP.

Club Printer
Who would like this?? I haven't room for it in the house. If I put it in the garage I'm afraid it'll get damp.
I don't need it for the proms.
Friday 17 October 2008
***Cracker Volunteers update*** Thank you very much for your response. We have 52 names on the volunteer list so far and it's official, the White's want to be drinkers! and more men want to be strippers than women! Don't be shy, we've got many more tasks to allocate.
Aha ze big secret is out !
Claudine has been spotted visitng an address in Kewstoke, after much undercover work i have found out
that she has total immersion treatment
in a tub with someone known only as slackbladder . We know this slackbladder as the Cockney sparrow.
Her trainig regime has been copied by local triathlete Go slow Colman and the results are plain to see.
So anybody who is struggling with times
and would like to boost performance get down to Kewstoke this Wednesday coming...
Has anyone had Trochanteric Bursitis in the hip. If this is/was you I would love to know how you got over it. Any info would be much appreciated: j.jones24@hotmail.com
Does anyone have an entry for the Sodbury Slog that they are not planning to use please?
Thursday 16 October 2008
Just wanted to thank everyone who had any part at all in helping with the Prom tonight.
It ran much more smoothly this time (at least I think it did!!) and it wouldn't have done without the help we received.
Very much appreciated.
WAC Prom Teams announced. Please see the Welcome Page for details.
Pete, not running? Thought you might be running it twice?
Thanks Pete,
See you then.
Rachel and Liz,
I'll be around tonight at the Prom if you still need a hand, I'll pop into registration at 6.45ish for instructions. Cheers
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to become a race director. Roger would like to hand over the Beacon Batch race to a fresh pair of hands and we are therefore looking for a replacement. We would like, if possible, to have someone pretty soon so that we can inform the fell runners association by the end of October. The club needs fresh faces and new ideas and these handovers are a natural evolution for the club.
In volunteering you would get the help and support of Roger and I believe may well have a keen assistant, if required!
Please drop me an e-mail if your interested in directing a race and supporting your club.
Tuesday 14 October 2008
up for grabs is my entry for this weekends Dartmoor vale half, found out it clash's with my shift at burger king, first come first serve.
