Runners can enter the complete series or each individual race on the night. Entry fee is £3.00 (£4.00 for unattached runners) per race. The distance is 5 miles covering 2 laps of the promenade. All standards of runner take part, so don't be put off if you are a new runner.

World Duathlon Championships

Paul Snelling recently competed for Great Britain in the World Duathlon Championships in Zurich. There were 2,500 competitors from 36 countries who took part on a cold and wet day. The event started with a hilly 10K run followed by a 40K cycle ride and a 5K run to finish. Paul was competing in the Over-55 age category and finished 18th out of 45 in a time of 2hrs 37min. He came fourth in the GB team. Website.

Activity Weekend Cancelled

The Club activity weekend on the 13/14th September has been cancelled by Jim White due to lack of response and insufficient numbers to make it viable.

Oldbury Power Station

The Oldbury 10-miler has moved from original date to avoid clashing with Bristol Half Marathon. The race now takes place on Sunday 28th September at 10.30am.

Club Championship Races

The Taunton 10K on 28th September is no longer included in the Club Championship race schedule (as it clashes with the re-arranged Oldbury race). The Ilminster 10K on Sunday 2nd November now replaces it in the schedule.

WESTON PROM RUN SERIES 2003-2004

Organised by Weston AC. This is an annual series of 9 five-mile races covering two laps of the Weston-super-Mare promenade. Races take place on the third Thursday of each month. Start time is 7:30pm. The first race is scheduled for Thursday, 18th September 2003. Click here for Entry Form.
Please note that this year we have a new venue for the Base Camp. As from September's race it's now at the CABOT BARS on the seafront opposite the finish point. The use of the bars are available, but no showers unfortunately.
