A Christmas Barn Dance is being run by Rane at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre on Saturday, 20th January. Three members of Nailsea Running Club will be on the starting line of what is billed as “the toughest foot race on the planet”. The Marathon des Sables is taking place between 25-31 March 2007. It is a six-day endurance race covering 243 km/151 miles across the Sahara Desert in Morocco with legs of between 22 and 82km - the equivalent to 5 1/2 regular marathons. They are hoping to raise £15,000 for The West of England MS Therapy Centre at Nailsea. For more information please visit their fundraising website at www.jrgreen1.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk.
