Christmas Barn Dance

A Christmas Barn Dance is being run by Rane at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre on Saturday, 20th January. A few of our runners attend Rane's classes at Hutton Moor and have shown an interest in going to this event. 7:30pm till late. With Live Band 'Cats Whiskers' and Caller. Food (including Hogs Roast) and wine will be included in ticket price @£18 per ticket. We host the Hangover 10K on the 1st. Our new Club Championship season starts on the 7th with the Forest of Dean Winter Trail 10.4K and 15.4K races, followed by Weston Prom Run (18th), Burrington Combe-Over (21st) and Broadclyst Bimble (28th). Marathon des Sables

Three members of Nailsea Running Club will be on the starting line of what is billed as “the toughest foot race on the planet”. The Marathon des Sables is taking place between 25-31 March 2007. It is a six-day endurance race covering 243 km/151 miles across the Sahara Desert in Morocco with legs of between 22 and 82km - the equivalent to 5 1/2 regular marathons. They are hoping to raise £15,000 for The West of England MS Therapy Centre at Nailsea. For more information please visit their fundraising website at www.jrgreen1.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk.
