1. Most improved cyclist, fearsome ascending and much improved 'wobble free' descending, a boy for the future, Steve Baxter winner of the Giraffe Hooter prize
2. Downhill Champion - Paul Burns, Lunatic descending winner of the prestigious 'Eyeball bell'
3. Combined Award - Best Lady Cyclist and 'Cycling Rear of the Year' despite one or two 'old women' in the party, and the hopes of one or two larger members of the group that quantity would prevail over quality in the 'Rear contest', both awards were overwhelmingly awarded to Lady Marcella Salter, - the winner of the 'Barbie Flashing handbag', and 2 'flashing' badges for Rear of the year.
4. The major prize, and winner of the uphill Pirate 'honking Hooter' - Mr Mark Ashurst, for some incredibly rapid climbs of the mountains.
5. A new award this year for outstanding observation of the 'Fauna and Flora' of Benidorm Beach was the 2007 'Horny'tholgist award, overwhelmingly won by Mr Ian Carpenter, winner of advanced Optical Aids

Programme for May 2007

Our Club Championship races this month are Manic Midsummer Midweek Duathlon (2nd), Great West Run (6th), Weston Prom Run (17th), Keynsham 10K (20th) and Burrington Blaster (25th).
Starting from Tuesday 1st May, our Interval Training sessions will take place on the grass at Hutton Moor.
Our series of summer social runs begins with a run from the Old Colonial on Thursday 3rd May (with cakes by the White family).
Malcolm and Grace are getting married on Saturday 5th May.
The Race for Life 5K takes place on the beach in Weston-super-Mare on Sunday 13th May.
