Well done to all the members who turned up to run the November 5k handicap run. Apologies for the late publication of the results. Links to the November results and the December handicap times are below.

This week's Saturday meet(3rd Dec) will be the first of several hill repeat sessions on part of the Tough Ten course. These sessions, as always, are tailored to be as inclusive as possible. All members are very welcome to join in. So don't be scared, come and have some fun.

The meeting point will be either the entrance to the woods at the end of Worlebury Hill Road at 8:45am or the Water Tower at 8:55am. See you there.

Victor & the Mendip Massive are inviting all members to join them for a breakfast run starting from The Burrington Inn @ 8.30am on Sunday 4th December. The emphasis is 'social' so members of all abilities welcome, the route will be approx 6 miles mainly off road with the optional choice of breakfast at the end (at own cost).

A breakfast of champions!

It would be good if those who wish to attend could contact me or her indoors so i can let Burrington know.

The Saturday meet this week will be at Marine lake at 8:45am. It will be an L.T. session in view of the fact that there is a popular race on Sunday. All very welcome as ever. See you there.

We are pleased to announce that Weston AC has successfully secured 2 London Marathon Club places for 2012. These will be drawn out of the hat in the normal way on our Festive Training night on Tuesday 20th December.

The criteria for you to be included in the draw is as follows:

1. You were unsuccessful in the 2011 London Marathon Ballot
2. You have been a member for over 12 months. i.e. you have renewed and paid for your membership at least once.
3. You have paid the additional £5 UKA/EA individual registration fee.

If you wish to be entered into the draw please email me or put your name on the form which is posted on the WAC notice board at Hutton Moor.

Important : Please also indicate if this is the first time you would be running the London marathon.

Saturday's meeting point (19th Nov) will be the Tropicana at 8:45am. The session will be.... actually why not just turn up and let it be a surprise. All very welcome as ever, see you there.

Saturday's (12th Nov) meet will be the entrance to Uphill boatyard at 8:45am. It will be the last of the short hill repeat sessions before we move on to some longer hill sessions in the coming weeks. All welcome as always. See you there.

As a thank you for the help and support given by our club members this year, the Committee are giving all members a free warm jacket. The jacket comes in the following sizes:

X-Small (32"), Small (34"), Medium(36"), Large(38"), X-Large (42-44").

....and these colours:

Deep Red, Black, Navy Blue, Grey.

All will have the 'Weston Athletic Club' logo embroidered on them. Please note that it is the general opinion that the sizes are generous, so test drive a sample to be sure.

This offer is only open until the November Prom Run 17th November 2011. We are only ordering as many as are requested.

This Saturday, the meeting point will be the Tropicana on the sea front at 8:50am. The session this week will be a repeats based session. The aim over the next few months is to build speed endurance in these sessions. There will also be longer hill repeats and LT/Pacing sessions. All are welcome as ever. See you there.
