Just a reminder that the first Night Run of the season will take place on Thursday 1st Nov 6.50pm at Barton Camp, nr Winscombe (BS25 1DY). 6 ish miles of thrills and spills followed by use of all facilities at Barton camp (showers and hot food will be available) and if thats not exciting enough failed Great British bake off auditionee Rachel Vincent will be supplying nutritional Halloween treats.

To commemorate 2012 Olympic Year the committee have approved my suggestion to provide a tech running t-shirt printed with all current paid up club members names on it (I must be mad writing out 170 or so names). Therefore, if you are a Weston AC club member, you can claim your FREE club t-shirt by sending me an email (using the link below) or telephoning (01934 414361) me with your requirements. The deadline for the receipt of orders is 10th November 2012.

Please be advised that entry for the 2012 Christmas Cracker has now closed as the 2000 limit has been reached. No further entries are being accepted and that includes paper entries as these have had plenty of time to reach us following the closure of the race on 15th October. 1. INTERVAL SESSION next Tuesday, 16th October: Pete Clark will be meeting runners at 7:10 PM at THE PIER for a warm-up session, NOT at the Tropicana. Runners can still meet at Hutton Moor at 7 PM if they prefer.

Please can all runners meet by THE PIER for around 7.25 PM for the main session. Thanks.

2. NIGHT RUN Thursday 1st November, 7 PM, BARTON CAMP, (followed by refreshments - details to follow).

The MENDIP MASSIVE invite you to join us for our first night run of the season. We will be meeting at 6.45 PM for a prompt 7 PM start. The route will be approximately 6 miles, mostly off road, so you will require suitable footwear. ALL RUNNERS MUST WEAR OR CARRY FULL BODY COVER, Hi-Viz vest or similar, and bring a good head torch (night runs are fun and adventurous, but runners must be aware that running off road in the dark is potentially dangerous and they participate at their own risk).
