This Thursdays night run is to start from Urchinwood Manor Equitation Centre off Wrington Road between A370 & White Heart Pub (BS49 5AP) meet 6.45pm for prompt 7pm start. Reminder please wear suitable warm clothing for weather conditions and head torch is compulsory. Run will be approx. 6 country miles with little mud apart from the muddy bits!!

There were 282 finishers for this race.
It was a cold and breezy evening, but at least it was dry! A good race for non club runners finishing in first two places ahead of Weston ACs own Chris Old.
The first Female runner home Serane Stone (again and well done) of Tiverton Harriers and Catherine Lee of Dulwich Runners both finished in under 30 minutes.

We return to the Pier to celebrate our achievements of 2013 and present awards to club members in our annual award ceremony. Every club member can bring a partner, family member or friend along (over 16 only), and at £15 per person for a 3 course meal and some wine its a bargain. So come along and enjoy music, dinner, awards and disco, plus one or two other treats.

The evening is kindly subsidised by the Club in recognition of the effort everyone voluntarily puts into the running of this successful club. So come along for a great night with no sweaty lycra!

Full money and menu choices should be given to Dave or Lesley Cowell on advertised club nights between now and 7 February (no money, no dinner ). Cash or Cheques ( made payable to Weston AC and cashed after the dinner ) is acceptable.

Message from Jim Wotton:

The races forming the first three months of the 2014 Club Championship have now been established. The Club Championship will be split into two for 2014. There will be a male and female championship for road running and a separate male and female championship for off-road. We intend to award 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each championship rather than the 5 in previous years.

You will see from the list (see link below) that the road running component will consist of 12 counting races, plus the marathon. The off-road championship consists of 4 counting races from the short distance, 4 from the long distance and 1 from the Cross Country category. We will inform you of the other 2 or 3 Cross Country races for the rest of the year in due course.

Below are links to the full draft 2014 Club Championship list of races but only the first 3 months of races are confirmed. These have now been added to the Events Calendar and visible through the Club Championship pages.
