Please check the volunteer list below to see what duty or duties you've been assigned, as well as where and when you need to turn up on race day.

If you're marshalling, and have the letter 'n' in the right-hand column, that's because you haven't yet emailed us to say that you've read the marshalling notes and sent us your mobile phone number.

Please can you do this straight away, so we can finalise our pre-race marshalling preparations.

The Cracker is fast approaching so it's time to get your fancy dress outfit and tinsel ready for the big day on Sunday 7th December. Race packs were sent out w/c 17th November so all participants should have received them by now. If the pack still hasn't turned up by Sunday 30th November please get in contact with the Race Secretary using the email link below providing your full name, date of birth and contact telephone number.

26 Runners braved the weather for the annual event at Barton Camp and it was pleasing to see so many new faces taking part, especially the 12 brave ladies who in the main were first timers. After completing Paul Snelling's varied course across muddy wet lanes and fields for about an hour and a half, they were joined by the 19 cyclists, although split into several groups, who had found different routes to arrive at the camp just a few minutes later. With the excellent facilities at Barton they were able to have hot showers and clean up prior to enjoying the breakfast ably prepared by Janet's team of helpers, without whom this event could not take place ------ and a big vote of thanks goes to them for their continued support.

We had an attendance of 55 people with donations given on the day of £90.44 which will be duly sent onto the Bristol Children's Help Society.

I would like to thank you all, members, cyclists, guests and helpers who turned out on such a poor day weather wise, as it was heaving it down at 8.00 am, but at least it stopped raining for the run.

Hi All, As the 2014 Championships come to an exciting conclusion I know that some people already want to get organised with their 2015 race calendar.

I have passed details of the races for Jan to April 2015 to the web team but it may take some small time for this to be updated.

The Championship races in Jan and Feb 2015 are as follows:
Jan 14th Street 5K
Jan 15th Prom Run
Jan 18th Riverbank Rollick
Jan 25th Slaughterford
Feb 8th Blaise Castle cross country
Feb 8th Humdinger Half (new distance)
Feb 8th Dursley Dozen
Feb 11th Street 5K
Feb 15th Two Bays
Feb 22nd Babcary
Feb 26th Prom Run
n.b. None of these races will be the Grand Prix event for that category

In accordance with the decision made by your committee the following conditions will apply to the awarding of Championship points from 1/1/2015.

Championship points will only be awarded to runners who have been entered into a race in accordance with race directors conditions and whose name appears in the official set of results produced by the race director.

One further change to the Championship for 2015 will be that the points awarded in the Ladies category will start from 30 as per the mens allocation.

Jan & I would like to know possible numbers who may come to the Breakfast Run for catering purposes. if yesterday's turn out for cycling is any gauge to go by, (they had 27) we could be flooded with numbers and not enough food, or time to cook. Also I have now got all of the SPECIAL RAB TEES and will be handing them out at training Tues (Seafront) / Thurs (Hutton Moor) and will take them to Barton next Saturday. They can also collect from my home 93, Spring Hill.

The results of the 2015 London Marathon entry have recently been announced. Weston Athletic Club will once again be securing our allocation of club places based upon the number of members who have taken out UKA individual registration. We will be drawing the lucky winners of these places out of the hat at our festive training night (probably on Tuesday 23rd December this year) in the normal way. The first place will be drawn just from those runners who have not run London before. The remaining place(s) between everyone including those not successful in the first place draw.

The criteria for your entry into the draw is as follows:

1. You have been a member of Weston AC for over 1 year (therefore you have paid at least one club membership renewal). 2. You have entered the 2015 London Marathon ballot and have been unsuccessful. 3. You are registered with UKA individually (i.e. you have paid the additional £10 on your membership fee).

If you wish to be entered into the draw and meet all of the above criteria please email Jim Wotton, using the link below, attaching a copy of your London Marathon rejection email (if they send one) or give him a copy of the cover of your rejection magazine. Good luck!
