Some of you will have heard that due to a change of family circumstances Bryan Morley is to step down from the WAC main committee and also from the Webmaster duties at the AGM on April 15th. The committee are therefore asking for volunteers to take on some or all of the Webmaster duties.

The main responsibilities are as follows:
1) Entering race results into the club championship
2) Adding/maintenance of races in the events calendar in order to create Club Championship
3) Creation and maintenance of the events in the club championship
4) Posting News and announcement items
5) Moderation of the message board in case of naughty messages being posted
6) Uploading of photos to the Photo Galleries
7) Amendment of Club Race pages
8) Dealing with general enquiries from members and non-members (e.g. prospective new members, issues using website, password issues)

Our website is an extremely useful asset to the club but it doesn't run itself. This is your chance to give something back to the club and contribute new ideas. Full training will be given to those who wish to take on some/all of the website administration responsibilities.

If you are interested in this great opportunity to really make a difference then please use the link below to volunteer your services or to find out more. It would be useful if you could list in your email the tasks (as listed above) which you would be keen to take on, along with your full name and contact number.

You do not need to be a computer boffin to perform this role as it is mostly administrative, although a knowledge of HTML would be useful. However, we must stress that full training will be given and cover can be arranged when you are away on holiday etc. So, don't delay, volunteer today!
