Jim White is leading the run this Thursday from The Crown at Churchill, and it should be good sunny evening and a smashing run as it has been a while since we were in this neck of the woods. .

Its another lovely venue for the walking group and we have cakes provided by Kirstie Mangham and Laura Braithwaite.

Please be considerate where you park so you don't stop any pub trade.

Following the recent round of membership renewals, the Committee feel it apt to remind everyone that in becoming a member, individuals agree to abide by the rules of the club, all relevant governing bodies and organisers of any race.
As a club we organise at least 13 races each year and we know only too well the difficulties that runners using other peoples numbers, without telling the organisers, can cause. Not only does it create considerable extra work for the person compiling the results, embarrassment and difficulties for the race director when he announces the wrong person winning an award or race category but potentially very serious health and safety issues in the event of injury.
The Committee therefore ask that all members uphold all race event rulings. Remember, if you enter an event and due to an injury or for some other reason you can not take part, please check with the race organiser whether your allocated race number can be passed to someone else.

Don't be afraid of the weather forecast come out and enjoy a great run lead by Pete Clarke, and no doubt some excellent cakes by Julie Shergold and Lesley Bowskill. Please use public carparks and not the pub, and any walkers are welcome but your illustrious leader, Ginnie Hayes, won't be there tonight, so maybe a stroll up the gorge may be tempting.
