Entry to the Mendip Muddle on Sunday October 12th 2014 is now OPEN!

The early bird discount ends on 31st August and places are filling up fast so to be sure of a place enter soon.

This race is held in order to raise funds for the RNLI and other charities.

There is an entry limit of 350 and has been reached for the last three years so get your entry in early to be sure of a place in this popular race.

The Mendip Muddle is a 20km multi-terrain race. The route is tough (there is 420m of climb), but very interesting, set in some of the finest scenery in the West Country. There are Roman lead mines, underground rivers, a nature reserve, open moorland, potholes, an ancient rabbit warren, an Iron Age fort, deciduous and conifer forest, and prehistoric tumuli.

Online and paper entry to the 32nd Weston Prom Run Series 2014-15 is now open.

Entry fees are frozen for yet another year. If you enter all 9 races in the series before 1st September 2014, you will only pay £15 rather than the usual £18 for an attached runner for the entire series. That's just £1.67 per race so an absolute bargain!

If four or more of you are entering the series from the same club why not consider entering the team competition? More details can be found on the Prom Web Page (link below). Team submissions can be made up until midnight Tuesday 28th October 2014 online or by 7.30pm on Thursday 30th October if submitting via paper form at race HQ.

Well done to all runners who turned up on Sunday morning to face the elements at Burrington Combe.

A special congratulations to Pete Clark, first man home in a course record breaking time of 45 mins 59 secs, and to Charlie Hurcum first lady home in 1 hr 0 min 10 secs.

All runners were entered into a raffle for Easy Runner vouchers and the lucky winner was Pam Withers.

Many thanks to the Whites for a fun and well organised race and breakfast.

2. A Berghaus Argentium Tech Tee, in Navy, with a contribution of £15.00 each.

Monday night's run will from now on be a steady/recovery run for all members of the club to make use of. It will cover a new flatish route of between 6-7 miles. This is an inclusive session of benefit to all members. Many thanks J.T.
