Club memberships for 2015/2016 are due for renewal 1 April 2015. The club membership fee remains exceptional value at £20 (individual) and £35 (family). However the England Athletics affiliation fee will rise to £12.

The WAC Committee are pleased to announce and welcome Julia Withers as the new Club Secretary and committee member. A handover from Claudine Mercer will happen during the next few weeks. The Committee would like to thank Claudine for her many years of loyal service. She will continue to be involved with the Cracker Group in a similar role.

Secondly, the committee are pleased to announce and welcome Julie Shergold and Carol O'Leary who will work alongside Paul Snelling as part of the new Social Events Team. They take over the duties from Dave Cowell who we thank for his hard work over the last few years.

The Weston Colour Run in aid of Weston Hospice Care will be returning to Uphill Beach on Sunday 19th April; although this is not a Weston AC event it is an excellent opportunity for members to volunteer to help out one of the town's most important charitable organisations.

Claire from Weston Hospice Care sends the following:

After a hugely successful debut last year, the Weston Colour Run will be returning to Uphill Beach on Sunday 19th April at 2pm, and we are still looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand.
We need as many people as possible to help with: setting up and taking down the event, registering the participants and marshalling the course.
If you would like to help but can't be there the whole day don't worry - depending on the role, volunteers will be needed for only a couple of hours or from 7.30am until 5pm however any time you can spare will be helpful.
If you would be interested in supporting at the Weston Colour Run and helping the Hospice raise £55,000 from the event, please call Claire Dibben (Event Fundraiser) on 01934 423967 or email Claire.dibben@westonhospicecare.org.uk

The purpose of the meeting is to provide feedback to formulate a plan for training, racing and a club championship within the framework of Weston Athletic Club.
