24/05/2017 21:48:17

Entry to the 2017 Mendip Muddle is now open. Enter before 1 September for an early bird price of £13

The Mendip Muddle is our toughest race. Held over 20km (12 miles) of the finest Mendip Hills, the course is hilly (there’s 420m of climb) and set in some of the finest scenery in the West Country. There are Roman lead mines, underground rivers, a nature reserve, open moorland, potholes, an ancient rabbit warren, an Iron Age fort and prehistoric tumuli. You will run past Velvet Bottom, Rhino Rift, Beacon Batch, Twin Brooks, Dolebury, Rowberrow Bottom, Tyning's, Black Down and Rains Batch. All but 2km of the course is off road and it can get a little boggy in places so make sure you bring your off road shoes.

Press Release - Weston AC tackle two 10k

01/05/2017 19:13:21

Sunday saw 45 of Weston Athletic Club’s members travel to Bridgwater or Glastonbury for the towns’ 10k races. Conditions were pretty perfect, and the forecast rain held-off until after both events. Rob Furlong achieved a top ten finish and was first Weston runner to finish in 39.41, as well as winning his age category. Marc Whiting and Richard Scott took second and third places for the club and their age categories in 40.41 and 41.14... read more
