The Mendip Muddle is our toughest race. Held over 20km (12 miles) of the finest Mendip Hills, the course is hilly (there’s 420m of climb) and set in some of the finest scenery in the West Country. Thank you to all club members who have paid club membership and England Athletics affiliation so far! But there's still a few active members who are outstanding. I'd be very grateful if memberships could be completed by the end of May latest. After this date any unpaid EA affiliations will lapse, and importantly, if you are a coach your licence will not be valid. If any one has issues renewing their membership, please message me via the Contacts page.

The Fit Fifty track the trails at Tyntesfield while The Fab Four rock Liverpool
Fifty runners from Weston Athletic Club gathered outside the house at Tyntesfield last Wednesday evening for the annual 10k off-road race around the estate. This is more than the club has ever fielded before at the event, thanks mainly to the growing popularity of off-road running among the newer members.
All members completed the undulating route across fields and through woodland. First to ascend the driveway for the final sprint along the closing strait was Matt Wheeler in 42.48. Allan Fuller and Phil Tomlinson followed in 43.34 and 44.03 respectively... Read more

The heat and lack of breeze made the going particularly tough on the hills and many runners felt the effects, struggling in the closing miles of the race... read more

Weston runners qualify for London
A staggering 71 runners from Weston Athletic Club completed last week’s five mile prom run, with their distinctive yellow vests making up over a quarter of the field. Conditions were good with a cool breeze and no rain, and 13 of the club’s runners seized the opportunity to run their personal best for the distance.
Quickest on the night, and with a convincing lead from the start, was Chris McMillan. Chris won the race in 26.03. Despite having run London marathon only days earlier, Kieron Summers was the club’s next finisher, and third overall in 28.04. Will Fuller followed in 29.07... read more
