Finally, after a decade, Phillipa Stevens' half marathon club female fastest time has fallen. On Sunday, at the annual Bath event, Susan Duncan became the new club female record holder for the distance. Well done Susan.

Congratulations to all the Participants in the seventh Prom Race in 2019 for the series 2018-19 on 14th March 2019.
Calmer conditions thankfully prevailed, as did you all - Well Done.

Well Done to all the participants of this seventh 1 Mile Prom Run of the Series 2018-19 on Thursday 14th Mar 2019.

A baker’s dozen of runners from Weston Athletic Club travelled to Burnham on Thursday night for the latest in the winter 5k series on the promenade. The wind speeds were already picking up ahead of the gales that were to follow.
Overall winner of the women’s race was Susan Duncan in 19.47. Michelle Fryer took second place overall in 21.02 and Michelle’s mum Jill Naughton and Carol Brent crossed the line together to take third club position in 28.10.
There was little to separate the club’s first three men, who all earned top ten places. Chris Selman finished in 18.26, followed by Pete Clark-Yalland in 18.31 and Matt Wheeler four seconds later in 18.35. Chris earned himself a new 5k personal best in the process - particularly impressive given the far-from-calm racing conditions... Read more

A dozen of Weston Athletic Club’s members put thoughts of Storm Freya furthest from their minds as they travelled to Devon on Sunday to take on the Bideford half marathon. With only 600 feet of climb along the 13.1 mile course, the race provides a great opportunity for runners to test their pace on a reasonably flat course.
Chris McMillan faced tough competition from a number of local runners but still managed to place seventh overall in 1.13.20. Only a minute separated the club’s second and third placed runners with Richard Brent finishing in 1.28.53 and Marc Whiting in 1.29.54... Read more
