| Comments | An adventurous off road run in the dark encompassing Crook Peak, Wavering Down, Kings Wood and the Strawberry Line, with an optional drink in the pub afterwards. All speeds of runners are welcome and the pace will be strictly set at that of the slower runners, however, anyone wishing to take part must be a confident and sure footed off road runner for safey reasons. We aim for the event to be enjoyable and fun but runners should understand that the nature of off road running in the dark is potentially dangerous. Precautions will be taken to make the run as safe as reasonably possible but altimately runners will be participating at their own risk and will be required to sign a disclaimer on the night. You will need: 1. A good quality head torch (and spare batteries) which you feel confident will offer sufficient light to safely run over very uneven ground. We strongly reccomend one that offers 50+ lumens (please speak to Pete if unsure). 2. Suitable running shoes for very uneven and slippery surfaces. 3. Runners MUST bring a long sleeved waterproof jacket. 4. We strongly advise runners to wear full body cover (running tights or similar, long sleeved top, gloves and hat)and to carry water to drink. 5. Any necessary medication (Asthma inhaler for asthmatics, etc). 6. Hi visability vest or similar (for road sections). Please aim to meet OUTSIDE the White Heart for a prompt 7pm start.
