Hi Janet, (and others)
Assuming that you do facebook if you go on to the WAC fb page and go back to a message 25/10 (it will take a while to get back there) you will see that Vanessa repeated the detail and photos of the kit that can be bought together with cost. Orders to be made from Dave Jones (our President) and payment to be made before we order. Dave can be contacted via the link on the contact page of the website and Dave will advise how payment can be made. Transfer to WAC account (detail to be given) is probably easier if you are happy with that method.

Thanks to those of you who have offered to help at the Hangover on Monday. Could all marshals meet at 9am in Kew Stoke Village Hall (race HQ) where you will be assigned your marshalling positions? As ever, the more marshals we have, the safer the race will be, so if you haven't yet come forward and are able to help, please drop me a line.

Congratulations to all the runners in today's Christmas Cracker races. Your continued support for these races has allowed us once again to donate £5000 to Weston Hospicecare who do an amazing and important job. A massive thank you to all those brave marshals who had to contend with the wind and cold and all those who helped out in Race HQ. No matter how big or small a job you did without your help these races simply would not happen. A special mention to all the members of the race committee who have worked hard all year preparing for the event. A great job well done. Now start thinking about the 9th December 2018..... A very Merry Christmas to everyone.

If you want to be included in this year's draw for the club's two places in the 2018 London Marathon, read on.
Unfortunately due to the success in larger numbers or runners gaining GFA places EA have decided to change the criteria for place allocation. To receive the 3 places that we have had before we needed to have 251 EA affiliated runners. Out of our 390 members we only have 240 so we only get 2 places this year.
The draw will take place on the night of the Xmas festive run 21/12/17. Please send me a email if you wish to be included in the draw. To be included in the draw you must:
- have been a member of the club for over a year (have paid one renewal)
- have current membership of England Athletics (i.e. paid the extra £14 when you renewed your club membership)
- have been rejected from the VMLM 2018 ballot in October, and have proof of that rejection (your email, or the letter that came with your magazine).
Please can you also confirm if you have run London before as the first draw for the first place will be for those people who have not run London before.

Hi Bill,
When I got back there everyone had gone so I did not get out and check sorry. Jamie phoned me to say he had one black top left in his car but it does not sound as though this is yours. May at least have gone to a good home if it is the person who has been sleeping there for a while. The police called in on Monday night when we were there and gave them some blankets.

Well done everyone who came down to run the timed mile to raise money for children in need. 45 people ran and so far we have £40, with the extra £5 paid I am sure the committee will agree to make our donation up to £100.
Conditions were good esp. running the way we did. Some very fast times led by Chris McMillan in 4.33 and Michelle Fryer in 6.09.
Jamie had one piece of unclaimed kit a black top that he will bring to the front on Saturday morning.

The Chilly Duathlon at Castle Combe Circuit on 19 November has just been made a Grand Prix event for the Tri Championship giving 250 extra championship points to everyone who finishes.
Hopefully there will be a few WAC members competing, so you should see some friendly faces.

Are there any other changes that people can see need to be made to Prom/championship result ?

• Pub - Bring your own drinks

So for anyone who didn't come on our first trip you will need to be self sufficient for 3/4 hours on your feet.

Don't panic we will split into groups of different abilities so there's no rush and even the top group will be doing lots of walking up the steep bits! You will not have to run up there if that's what you're thinking.

This is an adventure as a team and hopefully we will get better weather this time to enjoy the stunning views.

What is IMPORTANT though that you are prepared for mountain conditions. Lots of you who came last time will of learnt lots so make sure you have these items;

1. Waterproof or warm top

One minute you could be boiling hot climbing up next you are freezing on top of the ridge. So you will need to adapt along route.

2. Drink

You will need to carry a drink with you, how you do this is up to you. Either a bottle holder or a flask in your vest or bladder. You will need to drink along route.

3. Snack

Because we will be on our feet for 3/4 hours, it's amazing what a snack half way round can do for your energy levels. Personally I choose Haribo every time but just make sure you have something.

4. Running vest or bag (optional)

How you carry the above things is up to you but the perfect way is to wear a running vest which you won't even realise you have on! Everything will fit in perfectly so you can run in comfort with everything to hand when you need it.

A lot of you have brought them since the last trip so great chance to test them out. Also they are not expensive (could someone put up the link in comments please).

5. Packed lunch

Once we have finished we will eat together as a team so bring what you want to eat.

MOST IMPORTANTLY

6. Prosecco (or drink of your choice if not driving!)

Once we have finished it's time to celebrate in style as we take time to enjoy each other's company over a glass of bubbles.

7. Towel & Billy kit

Anyone who's brave enough it's then a quick dip in the local reservoir to clean off then it's back home!

So who's in..........?

As the nights are drawing in and summer's coming to an end (sniff) we'll soon be running our evening runs in the dark.

You won't need one this week, but as of next week you will need to wear a hi-vis vest on all our evening runs.

If you've joined the club in the past few months and haven't got one, see Jim at training.

Alternatively you can pick them up very cheaply in Sports Direct or online.

Run safe people!

Does this sound familiar?
“It puts everything into perspective – how appreciative I was to get back running and how much I love the sport. You take it for granted, I think, until you have something taken away from you. Most mornings you’d rock up, go for a run and not think about it but, when I got back from the injury, I was just so happy to be back running. It could be chucking it down with rain, or Andy (Muir’s coach, Andy Young) could give me the most horrible session and I wouldn’t care because ‘you know what? I’m running and I’m so happy to be running’. It almost made you commit to it that much more because you’re so appreciative of being back on your feet and running well. I think it makes you change the mindset a little bit.”

– GB’s Laura Muir talking about coming back from the stress fracture she had in her foot at the start of the summer. She’s recovered well and will do the 1500/5000 double in London.

For those of you who ran in the 70's you may well be able to relate to this!
“When you’re a runner and you came through the era I came through – people used to laugh at you when you were out running because it wasn’t the thing to do,”

“They’d shout at you and not many people were out running – if ever you were out in your car and you saw another runner then chances are you’d know them because there weren’t that many of us about.

• Session name - 'Hell to Heaven'

• Date - Monday 24th July

• Session type - Step repeats & social run

• Meeting point - Black Rock

We are going to head for 'Hell Steps' for 30 minutes of hard work then it's straight over to the top of gorge where an ice cold beer or cider will be waiting for you as you take in the 5th best view in Britain.

Not only that but I've timed it so you will get the sun setting too as we chill out with a ice cold drink.

Will need people to shout encouragement and help out so come along if you can't do the session.

• Meeting time - 7:20pm

• Things to bring - Drink, warm top, Billy kit (if wet) and money for cider!

Another cracking new session which comes with a new TWIST!!!!!

You will have two options on the night;

1. Easy hill repeat option

2. Hard hill repeat option

All will be revealed on the night!

The positioning of the sun going down at the peak of Draycott hill is breathtaking, hence the slightly later start.

There is a whole field to park in and there is a gert lush outside area to watch the sun go down over the Mendips while enjoying a well earned cider!!!

Great to have everyone involved so even if you can't do the session come along to help and take in the views why you encourage your teammates along.

• Meeting point - Summerhouse pub car park (rear of car park)

• Meeting time - 6am - (LEAVING CAR PARK FOR 6:10am)

Who ever choices to drive will receive petrol money and will have bridge toll covered.

Once we meet at the Summerhouse we will make sure we fill up as many cars as possible. It will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there.

We will split up in our groups as usual and then have the time of our life's!!!

Once we've all met again in the car park you will have an option to cool down in a local res (highly recommended) so you feel fresh.

Then we will find a nice scenic place to eat our pack lunches and drink of our choice.

Should be back in Weston for about 1pm ish so people can enjoy the rest of the day with their families.

*****Tri Championship Grand Prix Races*****

Two new Grand Prix events have been added, one Tri and one Aquathlon. Unfortunately they are on consecutive weekends in October as I had to replace the Tri Gran Prix race that was cancelled. Apologies for this, I'll try and spread things out a bit next year.
You don't have to take part in both, but it'd be great to have a good club turn-out at each event.

Triathlon is the North Bristol Tri (01 October)

Aquathlon is the Burnham Distance Aquathlon (08 October)

Triathlon News:

There have been some impressive performances recently, well done to everyone who has taken on their first Tri or a new distance. Here are a few of the highlights:
Nick Cook took on the Weekend Warrior challenge at Blenheim Trathlon weekend. Over the two days of racing Nick managed to complete 7 sprint distance triathlons all with pretty consistent times and collected 7 medals for his efforts.
Phil Tomlinson took part in the Windsor Triathlon and not only finished 18th overall but took 2nd in his age category.
A relay team consisting of Wayne Somers, Paul Evans and Artur Osicki took 1st place at the Lakesman long distance Tri. Wayne completed the 2.4 mile swim in 01:11:08, Paul cycled the 112 miles in 05:22:06 and Artur pulled off a blistering 03:16:30 marathon, all on one of the hottest days of the year so far.
Phil Tomlinson completed Ironman Austria yesterday and along with Nick Cook, Chris Edwards showed us all that it's never too late to take on your first Iron-distance event by completing the Cotswold 226 last weekend at the tender age of 63, and after all that training he's never looked younger!!

It’s great to see so many club members competing in many different events every weekend. This weekend alone we had members taking part in at least eight different races - not including our championship race at Torbay - from 5k parkruns to ultra marathons and iron distance triathlons.

As the club’s membership continues to grow, it’s just not possible for us to cover all these different activities in our weekly race reports which focus mainly on the club’s championship events and our own races too.

But we’re conscious that this also means that some amazing achievements don’t get the credit they deserve. So please, if you go out and do a race that’s not in the club championship or organised by the club, post about it here so your fellow club members know what you’ve been up to - especially if you get a personal best, or compete in a longer distance event for the first time.

Here’s to a great summer of running for us all.

This is going to be awesome!!!!

Why......????

• It's a home fixture!!!
• We are back together as one team!!!
• Everyone can do it!!!
• It's only 30 minutes!!!
• Loads of parking!!!
• Less than 10 minutes away!!!
• It's only one small hill!!!

Details;

• Session name - 'Its only a hill'

• Session type - Hill repeats

• Meeting point - Sand Point car park

• Meeting time - 6:50pm (Leaving car park for 7pm)

• Pub - The Commadore Hotel

• Things to bring - Drink to carry to start (you will need one!), warm top to wear for stretches, Billy kit if wet and money for a drink.

This will go down in history as one of TWAC's favourite sessions as it will test all abilities but very capable of achieving.

How many loops can you do.......?????

Who will be crowned King and Queen of the hill?????

Plenty of opportunities for injured TWACers to come and help too.

Also looking for someone to take some photos too as I'm keen not to miss out on the fun.

Hi All,
Mentioned this in my mail on Sunday but tonight we have a fun event consisting of obstacle course team race and raft building / floating competition. The full cost of the event is being met by the club so it would be a shame if we did not use all of the spaces.

We currently have room for about 10 more so if you fancy coming along there is still time for you to join us. The event takes place at 7:00pm in Hewish just over the M5 full detail on the facebook event.

You will need to complete the attached medical form and you may want to bring a dry set of clothes - just in case.

Please can you send me a mail or text on 07928 634252 to let me know that you intend to come.

• Things to bring - Water to carry (however you choose), warm top, trail shoes and money to buy Woots a beer.

• Pub - The Swan

Not sure if anyone has noticed but our monthly distance runs have slowly been increasing in time and we are stepping up to 1 hour and 45 minutes this Monday.

Please don't be put off by this, as usual we will split up into 4/5 different groups and you will all stick together and go at your own abilities in your chosen group.

You will certainly have breaks so don't think you have to be running for all of that time.

You will never be left alone in your group and you will work as a team to get round together.

Every group will reach Beacon Batch trig point, just in case you've missed out on the fun the last couple of days!

Don't want anyone to be scared or put off by the time as you all are more than capable of being on your feet for that period of time.

Little tip for everyone not used to being out for this period of time, carry some sweets you like to help give you energy along route.

Also if you have the means to carry water then do so as it will come in handy especially if the weather is hot.

So who's in.............?????

Thank you to those who ran, who marshalled, did the timings, results, water and course sweeping. I really appreciate all you did.
I have realised there were a few things I should and shouldn't have done in organising the race. I would like to do improve a few areas next year, and if there was something you spotted that you feel I could do to improve then send me an email and I will try and get it covered next time. Thanks again and I hope you all had a fun evening. Nick.

••••••••TWAC NEXT SESSION••••••••

• Session name - 'Peak de résistance'

• Session type - Hill Repeats

• Meeting point - Webbington Rd off road car park (Don't panic full details to follow)

• Meeting time - 6:50pm (Leaving car park at 7pm)

• Pub - 'The New Inn'

• Things to bring - Drink (to carry to start), warm top (to carry to start), trail shoes, towel and money for pub.

Another brand new session coming to TWAC!!!

This is going to be the best session yet as it's probably one of the best views around and you will get it quite a few times hopefully as you will get 30 minutes to challenge yourself against the mighty Crook Peak!!!

Anyone who did the 'Boobie Hill TTT' will have already done the climb as it's the last section leading up to the peak. Then as before you touch the cone before looping back around the peak before doing it all again.

You can see the top of Crook Peak from a lot of places in and around Weston, so look out for it this week as a reminder of the fun you will have next Monday.

Hopefully we will get great weather so we can stretch off and relax afterwards on top of the peak because the views of a sun set from there is spectacular!!! And after last night we deserve a beautiful view!!!

Any injured or recovering TWAC's then you will be most welcome as could do with a couple of helpers so the other leaders can enjoy the session too.

So who's in..............????

Hi Bruce,

There are no organised club runs on Sunday, members organise their own groups to meet, There is usually a group that meet in the car park opposite the Walnut Tree pub at the end of Winterstoke road at 8.15 with various distances being run usually around 9min mile pace,a faster group meet from the donkey in Worle plus there are a few others, sorry not familiar with them all as I tend to join the group from the Walnut. The best way is to ask around on a club night with people in the group you are running with. You would be more than welcome to join the Walnut Group.

••••••••••TWAC'S NEXT SESSION••••••••••

TWAC will take on Cheddars 'Hells Steps' next Monday (22/5/17) in our first step repeat session.

• Session Name - 'To Hell & Back'

• Session Type - Step Repeats

• Meeting Point - Black Rock

• Meeting Time - 6:50pm

• Pub - The White Hart

• Things To Bring - Trail shoes, water bottle, warm top and money for a drink.

Firstly don't be put off by the name and I would be very disappointed if any TWAC thought they couldn't do this session because they are not fit enough or not strong enough.

Every TWAC is capable of completing this session, every ability!!

You will be only challenging yourself for 30 minutes to see how many repeats you can complete.

Please don't think you have to run it all believe me you'll be walking up bits. This is a session to push you out of your comfort zones and as our TWAC motto states have #noboundaries.

It's a short session, it's a very short warm up run to the start point and the session is for 30 minutes. So we will be finished and back at the cars for 8pm.

Your final effort will be converted into how much elevation gain in feet you covered. I will have a chart to work this out easily at the end of your efforts.

Every TWAC who comes and gives it a go will be rewarded with a special award afterwards.

There will be leaders the entire way up giving you encouragement and form advice so you won't be alone.

Best part is we will all be together as a team pushing each other through!

So who's in...........????

Thank you!! - 5 years ago today I joined WAC, I can safely say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made – doubtless my sister will rightly take some credit for this – I’d long thought of joining but was scared I’d be too slow. Shaleen joining before me meant I knew at least one person would be slower than me.
To date I’ve spent £10o on memberships, I’ve gained well over 100 friends, some of whom I’ve no doubt will be friends for life, truly money well spent.
My aim when joining was to break 1h 40mins for a half marathon, I’d failed 3 times previously, with proper training was swiftly achieved, I didn’t then expect to progress much more, however I hadn’t factored in the camaraderie and competitive spirit that resides in so many at this great club, I owe a debt of thanks to all members past and present, the committee, coaches and my training group, but most of all to my family who have had a deal with this growing obsession (I call it dedication) over the years.
Once again – Thank you!!

••••••••TWAC'S NEXT SESSION••••••••

• Session name - 'BOOBIE HILL TTT'

• Session type - TTT (Trail Time Trial)

• Distance - 2/3 miles (confirm distance tomorrow)

• Meeting Point - Kingswood Car Park (free)

• Meeting Time - 6:50pm (Leaving car park for 7pm)

• Pub - The New Inn

• Things To Bring - Trail shoes, drink, warm top (for afterwards) and money for drink

• Awards On Offer - King & Queen of the hill, Performance of the week x 3, Betty & Brian awards.

• Abilities - EVERYONE!!!

What to expect;

We will meet in the car park (car share please) then go through safety briefing.

Then it's a warm up through the woods to the starting point at the Cross Plain national trust sign.

Then in you start your 2/3 miles of TTT as fast as you can (no pressure). You will head firstly towards Wavering Down trig point where you must touch it, then it's a lovely downhill section on towards the Crook Peak.

Once you get to the top of the peak you will be greater with encouragement from myself where I will take your photo with stunning backgrounds.

Once you have touched the cone at the top it's more downhill around the back of the Peak and then you will be heading back to the finish which is the trig point you've already touched.

But before you get to the trig on your last climb you get a chance to see Somerset's best bench (pic).

Once you've got your breath back and given in your time, it's time for you to loop back to give encouragement to your fellow TWACS to see them home.

Once every TWAC is finished we will go back to the stone bench for a massive group photo.

Time then for another group stretch with one the best views of Somerset.

Then it's a slow cool down run (all downhill) back to the cars where we will conduct our Awards Ceremony.

Best bit to come as we then head to the pub.

So who's in..................?????

Triathlon/Multisport Championship 2017

I've finally got the championship sorted this year and it now includes Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon from sprint distance upwards. Races also don't have to hold a national federation permit either.

I've added results for Rich Ford and Belinda Wilson from the Chilly Duathlon in Feb, as well as Phil Tomlinson at the Burnham Spring Aquathlon and Marc Molloy at The First Tri. Please let me know if there are any other results from 2017 that need to be added.

It's also really important that you let me know when you have results that need to be included. Either post on the facebook group, message or email me, don't rely on telling me verbally, I'm likely to forget.

The link to the championship on the web page is not currently working, we'll get this sorted, but in the meantime it can be viewed here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxxmK1-GWwTjNnZBb1RzeUpxUFk/view?usp=sharing

There's a lot of new TWAC'ers which is amazing so I'd like to remind people what we are all about.

We have core values at TWAC let me go through them with you and explain them;

* No Boundaries - We believe you shouldn't put any boundaries on what you can achieve and at TWAC we will push through those boundaries you think you have. We aim to hopefully give you more confidence to go on to do those events which you thought were out of your reach.

* Teamwork - We are about working as a team to get everyone through our sessions. We want you as a TWAC to support and give encouragement as we work as one big team to complete every session.

* More than just running - To build friendships and community in TWAC. So once we've worked hard we can go in the pub and enjoy each other's company.

* Love Somerset - A chance to explore the glorious areas and views Somerset has to offer. So you can go back with friends and family to enjoy your new love for our beautiful countryside.

Also the different types of sessions we do at TWAC;

* Hill Repeats
* Step Repeats
* TTT (Trail Time Trial)
* Distance Run
* Social Run
* Head Torch Running (coming soon)

This is all put on by Weston Athletic Club but you don't need to be a member to come along but if you like it then at some point it would be great to have you join the WAC family. £20 a year is a bargain.

We also want to look good while doing all of this, so our new online clothing shop is being put together for anyone wanting some specially high quality branded clothing range.

The future is bright the future is TWAC.

Details for TWAC's next session;

• Session Title - V-Sprints

• Session Type - Hill Repeats

• Date - Monday 1st May

• Meeting Point - Sand Point car park (more in depth details to follow on this as usual)

• Meeting time - 6:50pm

• Session start - 7pm

• Pub (MOST IMPORTANT PART) - The Commodore Hotel

• Awards on offer - King of the hill, Queen of the hill, Performance of the week x 3, Betty and Brian the Badger awards.

• Things to bring - Trail shoes, drink, warm top for afterwards

• Ability level - EVERY ABILITY CAN DO THIS SESSION

Very excited about this session and firstly don't be put off by the name as really it's a 1km loop which has lots of flat, down hill and two small hills all on soft grass. So even if you fall over you can't hurt yourself.

Once we leave the car park it's not even half a mile to the start point.

Then I will go through the route which will be coned out, then everyone will have 30 minutes to see how many loops of the 1km circuit they can complete.

You can run, walk or crawl whatever takes your fancy so no matter what your ability everyone can do this session and will be all together doing it. #teamwork

This is a great opportunity for people to come along to their first TWAC session with no pressure and they will be only challenging themselves.

On the other hand it will also give people the chance to challenge themselves further if they choose to go for the 'King or Queen awards' for being the person who goes the furthest in the 30 minutes.

So if you've got friends who you would like to invite or bring along then this is the time to do it!!!

Parking - There is a huge grass car park (gates won't shut) so everyone can fit in with no hassle.

This will be a festival of running and not to be missed (sorry Sarah Marsh).

Just to add 8 TWAC'ers of various abilities kindly have already tested this session out and they loved it!!

So who's in..............????????

Now that most of Marathon season has passed I feel the need to explain , "Why are so many of WAC members obsessed with doing a Marathon?". It is easily answered when training starts! a) As one of our members simply says "Marathons make you faster"
b) most of us train in groups ,and the bonds we form are priceless.
c)when it comes to (D-day) it is not only yourself running, but also all those you have trained with, those that were unfortunate to get injured and more importantly those who could not run the event but supported if it be from home offering words of encouragement or stood at the side of a road for hours on end to give you that 'Lift' when you think you're sunk.
We are lucky at this club in not only having a wide variety of athletes all with a similar goal, regardless of what level. But we also have a good (cheerleader squad) that familiar face and voice that gives you a huge lift when you're feeling low .
So! Thank you to all my mates and members that gave their time running and cheering,it helped immensely. Cheers Tobias for a much needed gee-up on mile 22 and Huge Thanks for N.O.1 Marathon club members Rodney,Cinders,Shakey,Billy,Pitbull,Chorlton,Monty,The Goat,Annie,Bomber ,Tampon,Trigger and Pete even Dreamboy.

Basically if you enter a race stating a clubs affiliation then you must run that race using the said club's colours. Those are the rules. I have been breaking the rules for many years and have now seen the error of my ways. Disliking the club kit is my problem not the clubs. I am just going to have to play by the rules in future. Oh and wearing other club colours is a definite no no. Only in exceptional circumstances can you wear even 2nd claim colours. So lets all be sensible shall we.

Despite the poor conditions there were some great performances at Bideford today. PBs for Sheryl, Sarah and Nia. A sub 1.40 time putting Nia into the all time top 10 by a female member. Very inspiring, well done.

I know there are a lot of other very deserving volunteers in this great club that could also be voted for, so am extremely proud to have been voted for this year. Thank you, I will keep it polished for next year's worthy winner. :-)

Hi Mike, as mentioned below a few of us will be meeting at 8.15am in the car park opposite the Walnut Tree Pub at the end of Winterstoke Road, the route is out and back so we tend to people doing a variety of distances as you can turn back at any point. Pace usually averages out around 9mm.

Hi Mike, Sunday groups are an informal affair, normally arranged during mid-week training. I know of 2 groups tomorrow doing 18 miles from BP garage on new Bristol Rd, start time of 7:45 & 8am, both will be doing 7:20 per mile or quicker. I believe another group is still going from the Walnut Tree (near the Oldmixon), not sure of meeting time, I think it is around 8am, but pace is usually around 9 minutes per mile. Given the number of people doing spring marathons I have little doubt that there will be a number of other groups out as well.

Congratulations to all the runners who competed in our two races last night. Perfect running conditions led to some impressive personal best times. Not so great for our marshals who had to brave those very cold temperatures and the chilly easterly wind. Thanks to them all for getting our 2017 races off to a great start.

Bristol 10k: Its that time of year again! As a club we can benefit from a 20% discount on the entry fee to the Bristol 10k (this will also apply to the Bristol Half Marathon later in the year) if we have over 20 people who wish to enter via the group discount and who are EA affiliated. I'm guessing that we will have, but if you could indicate, either here or by email to Julia Withers, then we can get an idea! The entry fee after the discount will be £23.20 for the 10k.

Hi all
Please see note from Ian about new meeting and start point for the Handicap on Tuesday.

Following last months straw poll of the club's runners the new 5k Handicap course from this coming Tuesday will be as follows.
The start is adjacent to the Tropicana Bay Cafe entrance and runs north 1.5k to the  Knightstone slipway (lamppost 6), before turning 180 degrees back to the start point. The second 1.0k lap runs northwards again to the Winter Gardens before the last leg back to the Tropicana. This new three-turn winter course replicates the one run in the spring/summer, but with more space.

Parking near the start should be easier, if required.

A Happy New Year to everyone. See you on Tuesday evening.

Thanks to everybody who came out today to help in any way whatsoever to put on the race and make it such a success again despite the rain. Your help as always is much appreciated and has again helped to raise a large amount of money for Barton Camp.
Annette particularly wishes to thank Kath H, Debbie B, Sian R and Bella S for all their help with the kitchen duties today. Also, a big thank you to all those who baked for the event - they were all well received and helped to raise £212.00.
